Raphael Saadiq Shows Off His Studio & His Incredible Vintage Gear Collection

Grammy-winning artist, producer, and songwriter Raphael Saadiq has brought his unmistakable vintage sound to the work of Beyoncé, D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Daniel Caesar, and many others. His Blakeslee Recording Studio perfectly reflects his creative approach, blending the warmth of the analog era with modern recording technology. From incredibly rare synthesizers and his trusted 1962 Precision Bass to a pair of feature-packed mixing consoles, the studio is a dream environment for making music.

Saadiq has been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember from his days with the legendary R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné! to his remarkable solo career and decades of producing for other artists. Getting a tour of his studio is a special treat for me. This man can create almost any style of music and make it sound authentic. He is truly a musical genius. I hope you enjoy this studio tour as much as I did.
